35m visit the Middle East

The World Tourism Organisation said that for the first time more tourists visited the Middle East - 35m visitors in 2004 - than Africa, which attracted 33m. Arrivals to the Middle East grew by 20 per cent last year, the world's second highest tourism growth rate behind Asia and the Pacific, which recorded a 29 per cent increase.
