SAN FRANCISCO (AFX) -- The airline sector rallied Wednesday after an upgrade of American Airlines' parent and growing optimism about industry revenue and cooling oil prices. The Amex Airline Index ended up 5.2 percent to 49.78, breaking the streak of two days of declines this week.
