SAN FRANCISCO (AFX) -- Northwest Airlines shares rose more than 6% in Monday morning trading, helping to push the sector index higher against a backdrop of lower oil prices. The Amex Airline Index gained 1.9% to 48.94 points, an extension of last Friday's upward move.
