SAN FRANCISCO (AFX) -- The Amex Airline Index on Friday closed down 1.6% but was almost unchanged on the week. Shares of Northwest Airlines and AMR Corp. both fell more than 3%. Northwest is on tap to reports its quarterly results next week, with analysts expecting a loss of $3.29 a share.
