SAN FRANCISCO (AFX) -- Shares of Delta Air Lines rebounded 2.1% to $1.99 and AMR Corp. gained 2.4% to $13.46 in early trading Wednesday as the pair were among the stronger gainers in the Amex Airline Index , which rose 1.1% to 48.61 points.
