SAN FRANCISCO (AFX) -- Northwest Airlines' Chief Executive Officer Douglas Steenland said that the carrier has no choice but to change along with the airline industry, which is seeing the rise of an expanding group of carriers with lower operating costs that let them offer cheaper fares.
