SAN FRANCISCO (AFX) -- An almost 3% rise in oil futures sent the Amex Airline Index 1.5% lower to 43.06 points on Tuesday. Leading the decliners, AMR Corp. , parent of American Airlines, lost 4.3% to $11.47. Continental Airlines gave up 3.6% to $10.91.
