Airbus out-sells Boeing in Mideast

Airbus has claimed a 67% share of regional aircraft sales in the first eight months of 2005 compared with 33% for Boeing. The European aircraft maker told journalists in Dubai that airlines in the Middle East and North Africa will need to buy 1,015 aircraft worth $124bn up to the year 2023, 630 for growth and 385 to replace aircraft currently in service.
