Bahrain gets F1 opener

Bahrain will host the opening race of the 2006 F1 Grand Prix season on 12 March. The decision was taken after the Australian Grand Prix, which has opened the series since 1996, was rescheduled to avoid a clash with the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne. [AMEInfo.com]
