Brazil Airline Varig Files for Bankruptcy Protection (Update1) (Bloomberg.com)

June 17 (Bloomberg) -- Viacao Aerea Rio-Grandense SA, Brazil's biggest airline, filed for bankruptcy protection as it seeks to restructure more than $2 billion of debt to the government and other creditors.
