Burbank to relive aviation history City was hub for WWII planes (Pasadena Star-News)

Two bombers that helped propel the United States through World War II when Burbank was a manufacturing hub for the effort will hit the tarmac today at Bob Hope Airport. The arrival of the B-17 Flying Fortress marks a homecoming of sorts, since Lockheed built B- 17s at its Burbank plant.
