The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) was established in 1975 and is the government authority responsible for the management, operation and the on- going maintenance of the Kuwait International Airport (KIA). The authority is also responsible for managing all traffic within the country's airspace and addressing aviation safety related matters.
