Dubai is the third largest port in the world for re-exports, after Hong Kong and Singapore, according to a study from the Dubai Chamber of Commerce. Total exports from Dubai in 2004 were valued at around USD12bn of which 85 per cent was in the trading sector, nine per cent manufacturing and 3.5 per cent services. [AMEInfo.com]
