EMPRESA BRASILEIRA DE AERONAUTICA S.A., known as Embraer, has placed orders for 650 units of aircraft engines developed by ISHIKAWAJIMA-HARIMA HEAVY INDUSTRIES CO. [IHI ] (TSE:7013). IHI jointly developed the engine, the CF34-10E, with GENERAL ELECTRIC CO.
