Emirates airline has agreed to buy 10 Boeing 747-8F freighters in a deal worth $3.3bn. The contract includes an order for 45 General Electric GEnx engines worth $600m, which will power the aircraft. The planes will be delivered from 2010. Boeing says the new 747-8Fs offer 16% more cargo volume and 15% lower ton-mile costs than the classic 747-400F. [AMEInfo.com]
