Expats exit fee to Gulf dropped

Cochin International Airport authorities have scrapped a user's fee on passengers travelling to Gulf countries, reported Gulf News. The airport introduced the $11.50 fee per person in 2000 to pay off debts, but has withdrawn it in the face of persistant claims that it was discriminatory. [AMEInfo.com]
