Founder of ATA Airlines says he'll retire as president, CEO (USA Today)

The head of ATA Airlines announced he will retire from the company he founded and built into the nation's 10th largest airline, then allowed to slip into bankruptcy. J. George Mikelsons, 67, said in a statement late Friday he will step down as president and chief executive by the end of the month.
