GE buys CIT aircraft assets (The Deal)

The owner of one of the world's largest fleets of airplanes added to its collection Wednesday, July 6, as the financial unit of General Electric Co. announced it had acquired about $1 billion in aircraft assets from CIT Group Inc. for an undisclosed price.
