German Tourist Board office opens

The German National Tourist Board has officially opened its GCC office in Dubai, with a VIP dinner attended by German Consul General Walter Leuchs. GNTB CEO Petra Hedorfer said the office would help strengthen travel links between Germany and the Gulf. Overnight stays in Germany from the GCC states increased by 15.1% in 2004 to 512,287, with a further 15% increase expected for 2005. [AMEInfo.com]
