Germany's Eichel Backs Aircraft-Fuel Tax to Aid Development (Bloomberg.com)

Feb. 17 (Bloomberg) -- German Finance Minister Hans Eichel threw his support behind calls for a tax on aircraft fuel, saying ``something has to be done'' about cheap flights when a taxi ride from the center of Berlin to the main airport can cost more than a plane ticket.
