The surprising losses by its Bedek Aviation subsidiary in 2004 have thrown Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI) management into shock. Bedek Aviation chalked up losses of $35 million last year, while its U.S. subsidiary, Empire Aero Center, made a further loss of $7 million.
