NORTHEAST FLORIDA -- A provision in the massive federal highway spending bill could make corporate aviation more expensive by requiring general aviation operators to pay taxes meant for truckers. In the process, the measure could divert millions of dollars in fuel taxes from the federal Airport and Airway Trust Fund to its sister Highway Trust Fund.
