Skidmore Owings and Merrill, Hellmuth, Obata & Kassabaum, Fentress Bradburn Architects and Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates have been shortlisted for the design of Abu Dhabi International Airport's Midfield Terminal Complex. The winning design will be announced on December 5. When completed in 2010 the terminal will enable the airport to handle 20m passengers a year with total airport redevelopment costs put at $6.8bn.
