Northwest says Checchi leaving airline's board (IN-Forum News)

EAGAN, Minn. Northwest Airlines says Al Checchi has decided to leave the airline's board of directors after 16 years. Checchi and Gary Wilson organized the investment group that bought the Eagan-based carrier for $3.5 billion in 1989 and took Northwest private.
