Oil surge knocks airline stocks (Sharewatch)

SAN FRANCISCO (AFX) -- A rise in oil prices Wednesday morning sent airline shares lower as the commodity's data-driven rally stoked concerns about high jet-fuel prices. The Amex Airline Index fell 1.3% to 49.99 points.
