Oman's Ministry of Tourism is promoting the annual Khareef Festival to travel operators in Dubai this week. The roadshow is part of a 10-day Pan-Gulf promotional drive to highlight the festival, which occurs between July and August in the southern region of Dhofar. The region is popular for its archeological sites, ancient frankincense trade and cool monsoonal weather during the summer months. [AMEInfo.com]
