Qatar, tourism capital for a day

Qatar has been appointed host of World Tourism Day for 2005 by the UN's World Tourism Organisation, becoming the first Middle East country to hold the annual event. The day will feature a national tourism conference and various activities put on by the Qatar Tourism Authority. WTD falls on 27 September and is held in a different destination every year.
