Ras Al Khaimah International Airport is to spend $272m up until the end of 2008 on the first phases of an expansion programme that will continue until 2020, reported Emirates Today. The first phase will involve building a cargo warehouse, arrivals and departures halls and a hotel. The emirate takes possession of a Boeing 737-300 next month, prior to launching RAK Airways at the end of the year. [AMEInfo.com]
