US aircraft carrier makes port call in Hong Kong (Channel NewsAsia)

HONG KONG: In what's seen as a sign of smooth Sino-US relations, a US aircraft carrier battle group made a port call in Hong Kong on Friday. The stopover is also a boost to the local economy, with American sailors and airmen expected to spend millions of US dollars in the city.
