US Airline Sector Slips; AMR, Continental Are Downgraded (New Ratings)

SAN FRANCISCO (Dow Jones)--Downgrades for two big U.S. carriers sent airline stocks lower Friday. By midday, the Amex Airline Index was off 0.3% at 51.43 points, narrowly extending Thursday's loss.
