White House welcomes signs of compromise on aircraft row (Financial Times)

The Bush administration yesterday welcomed signs that EADS, the parent company of Airbus, was prepared to give up "launch aid" for Airbus aircraft if the US-EU reached a settlement that would eliminate subsidies for Boeing.
