SAN FRANCISCO (AFX) -- Airline stocks sank Thursday as Northwest Airlines and Delta Air Lines led a retreat driven in part by concern about petroleum-industry infrastructure damage caused by Hurricane Katrina. The Amex Airline Index lost 4.9% to 45.06 points.
