Bahrain's hotels have been banned from selling alcohol during Ramadan, according to the terms of a circular released by the Information Ministry's Tourism Affairs directorate. Hotels had previously been allowed to sell alcohol at night during Ramadan, but not during the day. Hoteliers said the ban would lead to major losses, according to a report in Gulf Daily News.
