Belly dancing banned in Qatar

Belly dancing has been banned in Qatar's hotels following a ruling handed out by the Qatar Tourism Authority, reported Gulf News. IT is thought the ban might have been forwarded via the authority from a government department. Belly dancing performances are still being offered as part of desert tours for private parties.
