Dubai is presently suffering from a serious shortage of hotel bedrooms, reported Gulf News. Last year hotel rooms grew by only 2.3% while average occupancy soared by 8.7% to 81%. There are now 26,154 rooms with 18,000 more due for completion by 2008. [AMEInfo.com]
