Egypt hopes for Saudi record

Egypt is hoping to receive a record number of tourists from Saudi Arabia this summer. Last year, the number of GCC tourists visiting Egypt rose by 40%, helped mainly by more than 350,000 Saudi visitors. So far this year, from January to April, just over 80,000 Saudis have holidayed in Egypt, and tourism officials in the North African nation are anticipating record numbers this summer to popular destinations such as Cairo and Alexandria.
