Jordan expects record year

The tourism sector in Jordan expects to enjoy record revenues of $1.4bn this year due partly to Arab visitors scared by bombings in rival locations. Gulf Arabs, led by Saudi Arabians, comprise around 60% of visitors, and total visitors in the first half of 2005 were up by 9.5% to 2.4m, said the Tourism Ministry. [AMEInfo.com]
