Actor Cliff Robertson was to be among those being enshrined in the National Aviation Hall of Fame on Saturday. Robertson, who grew up in La Jolla, Calif., would wash airplanes and clean engines as a teenager in hopes that a pilot would give him a ride and a lesson.

Gulf Air aids stranded passengers

Gulf Air has deployed additional aircraft and upgraded flights to bring stranded passengers in Beirut back to Bahrain. The airline is operating bigger aircraft, adding 100 more seats on a daily basis, to fly the stranded passengers back from Damascus. Jazeera to fly out Beirut tourists

The Kuwaiti embassy in Beirut has transported all Jazeera Airways passengers, as well as nationals with no previous bookings, to Damascus where Jazeera Airways will fly them back to the emirate at no extra cost. Kuwaitis with no previous Jazeera booking need a letter from the embassy in Damascus. 41 die in PIA crash
