Plane crashes in Pownal, killing pilot (Boston Globe)

Federal aviation and transportation officials are investigating a plane crash that killed the pilot. William Smith, of Batavia, N.Y., died when the small cargo plane crashed in a remote area Friday, the Bennington Banner reported. He was the only one on board.
