Iraq wants Iran rail partnership

Iraq has asked Iran for a partnership to help it build its section of the Khorramshahr-Shalamcheh-Basra railway project, which will link the two nations' rail networks, reported the Iran Daily citing the Fars News Agency. A senior official said that if the Iranian Ministry of Roads and Transportation agrees to the Iraqi request, then funds set aside for economic development with Iraq will be utilised. [AMEInfo.com]
